Wrong. Just wrong.

From the website: “Chick Beer finally gives women a beer choice that suits their tastes and their style”

Which would be fine if it were a hand crafted beer with complex flavors and notes of….anything. But no. Its selling point is the number of calories and carbs and the fact that it ISN’T hoppy (WHAT???) and that it has extra carbonation. Um…I guess that’s because silly little girls are amused by bubbles like a kitten is amused by a ball of fuzz.

In the name of all that is good and holy this is an ABOMINATION.   And insulting. For women everywhere I just want to punch this beer.

Good grief. How insulting. I’d hate it, because I love me a nice dark beer with a strong flavor. This chick beer is ick beer.

I don’t drink, I’m a guy, and I’m insulted. It’s like HEY YOU’RE FAT SO OBVIOUSLY YOU WANT MEAT WITH ALOT OF GRISTLE! No. I want meat that tastes good. F off.

No, no, LESS carbonation. Because girls can’t burp. Or have anything interesting in their beers.

Oh, see, I’m just a girl. I misread it. Thank god there were men around to dumb it down for me.

Thought about this for a whole 5 more minutes after I commented (which in the course of my busy day is A LOT) Wondering why if a chick doesn’t like beer, she can’t just order a cooler? Or spritzer? or whatever. Why a special beer? Next thing you know, JC Penney will be selling t-shirts with Chick Beer logos.
Ok. That’s all for now. 😉

Originally, that was the purpose of “iight beer”–to get women to drink it. Then of course, beer companies realized that men are just as concerned about the effects of beer on their waist line was women and have no problem drinking light beer.

Perhaps “Chick” Beer will actually break down gender constructs once men realize they don’t like burping that much either.
